I am a Certified Professional Inspector CPI® trained by InterNACHI—the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (www.NACHI.org)—which is the world's largest nonprofit association of residential and commercial property inspectors that provides education, training, and certification.

In order to become certified, I was required to take inspection courses related to the interior and exterior of the home, including the common and major areas of concern for home buyers, such as the foundation, heating and cooling, roof, plumbing, and electrical systems. I am a graduate of the InterNACHI® School, the world's only home inspector college that offers the nationally-accredited Home Inspector Certificate Program.

InterNACHI® will pay up to $25,000 (USD; maximum collective aggregate) for the cost of replacement of personal property lost (and not recovered, restituted, or insured) during an inspection and stolen by an InterNACHI®-certified member who was convicted of or pleaded guilty (or no contest) to any criminal charge resulting from the member's taking of the client's personal property. The claimant agrees that the exclusive venue for any action against InterNACHI® arising out of this Honor Guarantee is the District Court in Boulder County, Colorado. InterNACHI's Honor Guarantee is valid throughout the U.S. and Canada.
About Me
Owner and operator of A New Perspective Home Inspections, LaVonda Horrar, has worked in and around home building, remodeling and construction for over 25 years. She has completed home remodels, worked for a building material retail chain, worked with her husband helping him run his locksmith business and currently owns a real estate investment company.
LaVonda’s first experience in construction began in 1994 when she and her husband, Scott, completely remodeled their first home while living in it. They converted a barely livable 672 sq foot home that had 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a 1/2 size kitchen while living in it with their growing family. Little did they know this labor of love would be what shaped their future. LaVonda’s dream of restoring and remodeling homes began in that small space as she and Scott added an upstairs, master suite, bathroom, deck, garage and a spacious kitchen for her family to gather.
LaVonda began real estate investing in 2014 and started her own company in 2017, buying and restoring homes in need of care. This experience revealed the need for people to have as much unbiased information as possible before buying a home.
